Tickoff is an effective way to ensure that your game and cattle receive the neccessary pour-on parasite control fluids on a regular basis - without any labour requirements or maintenance.
Make a hole slightly (17 cm) deeper than the height of the applicator and about 25cm longer on each side. Provide a fairly level base for the unit.
Fit spry pipe to Tick Off unit with two nineteen millimeter keys. (Long spry pipe on filler pipe side.)
Place the unit in the hole moving it around to make sure it is bedded well.
Mount extended spry pipe to a tree (pole) 1.8 meter high and half meter from system, be sure the nozzle is angled toward the nozzle between the rocks.
Place a rock on each side of the outlets for protection, filler pipe and breather pipe must stick out of ground.
Cover the unit with a 50mm layer of soil, level with the surrounding area. Protect the short nozzle between rocks, angled upward and inward.
Fill the unit with +/- 5 liters of insecticide (unit can hold 20 Liters). Be careful not to get sand and dirt into the unit although there are built-in filters.
Unscrew both nozzles and step on unit to get all the air out of pipe`s.
Fit nozzles. Make sure it squirts an uninterrupted stream. If not, press a few times to get any air out of the pipe`s. If it runs empty after a while, simply refill and repeat step 8.
Place large thornbush halfway over the unit and cut back so that strong branches form sides of the pathway. 1 meter high and 30 meters to a side, in a straight line.
Check that the system’s set correctly. Be sure to check that the long outlet squirts the insecticide right across to the short outlet.
